Why is this forbidden?

Today using bpmn.io to draft a process I came across this situation: the system prevents me from making the link transitioning between lanes after a conditional gateway and vice versa. However, the same transition between two tasks works normally.

I would like to know: is this a real BPM limitation that I have never heard of or is it a bug in the tool?

Hi @AnibalDuarte,

you modeled three (independent) pools instead of one pool with three lanes.

Selecting the pool, you use the context menu to divide the pool with lanes
