Using BPMN to document operating procedures: How?

I would like to use BPMN to document operating procedures. The output would be a document containing:

  • The diagram.
  • For each task, a description of the task. This would be authored in the BPMN model in the “Element documentation”

Has this been done before? I see that Visual Paradigm has such a feature, see https://www.visual-paradigm.com/tutorials/how-to-document-working-procedures-for-bpmn-tasks.jsp?format=pdf

If I would need to build it myself, I would parse the BPMN file and generate an Asciidoc output. But before I start in this direction, I wanted to check whether something similar has been done before.
