Is it possible to not generate xml for Particular Element

I am working on custom element ,my requirement is that wheEver i drop the Custom element from Pallate it should not update xml when we click save button on top.How should i achieve this

Is this issue related to your other questions in the forum regarding custom elements? If so, perhaps you could reexplain your issue fully so what we might be able to help you? What are you trying to achieve exactly?

This is exactly how the custom elements example works. Custom elements are kept in a seperate JSON file.
