How to convert Visio to .bpmn

Hi everyone :wave:

I created a tool to convert Visio to .bpmn

To do it:

  1. Get an image of your Visio diagram (e.g. screenshot)
  2. Drag it into the chat here (free, no registration), and ask it to ‘draw this diagram’
  3. Click ‘Export as .bpmn’

Downsides:

  • Sometimes it doesn’t convert it perfectly
  • You only get what’s in the photo. Any meta data that is not visible will be lost

Interesting project. It looks like image recognition, and turning the diagrams into a BPMN file? Does it work with other pictures of BPMN files, but MS Visio?

Yes, I’ve made it Visio agnostic.
I just titled the post with Visio, because I think that is the most common ‘conversion’ frustration.
