How do I change error icons?

I would like to replace the error icon in the bpmn linter from a red X to a red !. How can this be accomplished? Screenshot of the red X

I think the only way of doing this is to override the existing bpmn-js-bpmnlint extension and adding another error icon.

Thanks, I am new to bpmn. Is there documentation how this is accomplished?
