Can't open file from local disk

Hi,
when trying to open a file from my local disk I get the following message:

I can open the file locally in a browser, but then the menu turns to japanese and the diagram becomes read only.

any suggestions?

Can you share the diagram you’re trying to open?

This is not a vaild BPMN 2.0 file but a HTML page.
