Duplicate Data Object with new ICONs

Hi, I want to make seven element which has the same attribute with data Object; can be connected with dash-line(----), can have a name and also different ID. I tried the Custom Element example approach and encountered many problem like having trouble with saving custom elements in XML and etc… .

So i think my problem is to duplicate data object element seven times with different shape(icon) and unique ID for each right?

can anyone help me for a clear solution. Thanks!

If you’d simply like to make different kinds of data objects available to your users a custom renderer is the right way. Please share a concrete example of what you’re trying to achieve and we may be able to offer more concrete advice.
